Requirements at the Event

Northern California Grantmakers (NCG) is committed to creating a safe and comfortable meeting environment, and to the extent possible, protecting the health of everyone who attends our programming and conferences.

We ask that you follow these simple steps to do your part in promoting a safe, supportive conference environment.

  • Vaccinate. NCG expects that event attendees be optimally vaccinated against COVID-19 with the 2024/2025 vaccine, unless claiming a medical or religious exemption.
  • Test. Please self-administer a rapid test the morning of the event to confirm your COVID status before attending the event.
  • Day of Wellness Check. Out of respect for others, please do not attend if you become ill or exhibit any signs or symptoms of COVID-19 the day of the event. Common symptoms include but are not limited to: fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, muscle or body aches, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea.
  • Mask. NCG strongly recommends that event participants wear a mask while attending the event. Masks and rapid tests will be available at the registration desk.

NCG's COVID-19 protocols apply to every person participating in our events. NCG reserves the right to refuse entry to any participants who exhibit symptoms of illness. We thank you for your support in building a safe environment for our event.

If there are specific health protocols that would make the space more accessible and safer for you, please reach out to us directly at [email protected]. We are committed to creating accessible spaces that support our collective safety.

Requirements Prior to the Event

In-Person Event Requirements

NCG expects that event attendees be optimally vaccinated against COVID-19 with the 2024/2025 vaccine, unless claiming a medical or religious exemption. An individual is considered fully vaccinated 14 days after receiving the current dose, as recommended by the manufacturer, of a vaccine authorized by the FDA for use in the United States or by the World Health Organization.

We ask that you not attend if you become ill or exhibit any signs or symptoms of COVID-19. NCG reserves the right to refuse entry to any participants who exhibit symptoms of illness.

We strongly encourage attendees to self-administer a rapid test the morning of the event and to wear a mask while participating on site. Masks and rapid tests will be available at the registration desk upon request. Out of respect for each individual's varying comfort level, please refrain from hugs or handshakes without explicit consent.

We will strive to safeguard the health and safety of all those involved in NCG events but cannot guarantee that attendees and participants will not be exposed to COVID-19 or its variants. We thank you for your help in keeping our community safe.
